Every year, during the months of July and August, the concert season of the Church of Santa Maria della Visitazione, known as the Pietà or "Vivaldi's Church," is enhanced for the first time by a new festival. This extraordinary festival hosts ensembles, orchestras, choirs, and soloists—both instrumentalists and singers—from Italy and abroad. It is dedicated to expanding the musical and artistic offerings of the Pietà and the Institute for Childhood. The festival pays special attention to the city of Venice, its citizens and guests, as well as its prestigious musical, educational, and artistic institutions.
